The EZ Stitch Scroll Frame System is an amazing stitching tool. No matter if your passion is cross-stitch, needlepoint, crewel, embroidery, or quilting these versatile needlework scroll frames are for you. It provides an attractive quality frame while your piece is in progress.

The best thing about the EZ Stitch Scroll Frames is that everything is compatible. You can use any size Scroll Rods with any size Side Bars.

EZ Stitch Scroll Rods come in two versions.

EZ Stitch Scroll Rods with Webbing

The Scroll Rods with Webbing have a piece of 1" wide webbing canvas attached along the length of each dowel. Then you either hand stitch or machine sew your embroidery fabric to the webbing on the scroll rods. Assemble your scroll frame and rotate the rods to pull the fabric taut for stitching.

EZ Stitch Scroll Rods with Tape

The Scroll rods with Tape have two separate parts the Tape for Scroll Rods & Tape for Fabric. The Tape for Scroll Rods comes already applied to the Scroll Rods. The Tape for Fabric you will attach across each end of your fabric. The unique design allows you to remove and reattach your project in seconds. The Tape for fabric is not reusable once you have completed your project you will cut the tape off and take it to the framer.

EZ Stitch Scroll Rods...

There are 15 different sizes of Scroll Rods from 6” through 48”. There are two different diameters of Scroll Rod. The regular Scroll Rod is 1/2” in diameter and is available in 6” through 22”. The Heavy Duty Scroll Rod is 5/8” in diameter and is available in 18” through 48”. The 18”, 20”, 22” Scroll Rods are available in both the 1/2” and the 5/8” diameter rod.

The reason for the larger diameter of rod is that the longer the rod the more chance that it could bow. To help keep the rod sturdy and stable for stitching we increased the diameter of the rod. We did this for both the webbing version and the tape version.

EZ Stitch Side Bars

There are 5 sizes of Side Bars 6” , 8”, 10”, 12” and 16”. The 3 smallest 6”, 8” and 10” have 3 holes top, middle and bottom. The length of the Side Bar refers to the furthest distance between the holes in the Side Bars. The actual length of a Side Bar is that measurement plus 1 1/2". For example, an 8" side bar has a total length of 9.5".

The 12” and 16” Side Bars have holes ever 2” so you have lots of placement options with the larger size Side Bars.  For example when I am beading I will use extend my stitching on the longer Side Bars. This way I won't need to scroll up and smash any of the beads.

EZ Stitch Scroll Frame Sets...

There are 14 different Scroll Frame Sets in each versions Webbing and Tape.  Sizes available in the 1/2" diamerter are 8”, 10”, 12', 14”, 16” 18” and 20”.  The Heavy Duty Scroll Frame Sets available sizes are 18”, 20”, , 22”, 24”, 26” 30” and 36”.

EZ Stitch Stands

EZ Stitch Tomorrow's Treasures Lap Stand / Table Stand ...

The Lap Stand provides a stable platform for all your needlework projects. The whole scroll frame can rotate a full 360° for quick, easy access to the back of your project and easily accommodates two-handed stitching.

The Lap Stand includes a pair of 20” Scroll Rods, a pair of 12” Side Bars, pair of Legs and Feet, 2 Spacers, 2 screws and 10 knobs and a roll of EZ Stitch Tape for Fabric.

The 12” adjustable Side Bars allows for lots of different placement of your frame to best suit not only your seating position and the position of your project for either lap or table use. Along with the 5 adjustable positions along the legs allowing you to figure out what height is comfortable for you.

The EZ Stitch Scroll Frame Lap / Table Stand is by far my favorite stitching tool!! The Lap / Table Stand is very versatile and you can make it work for how you like to stitch. For stitching at a table, put the legs at the back of the side rods. This will make the whole frame come toward you. You won't have to lean over the table to stitch. This makes it much more comfortable to stitch at a table.

For stitching on a couch, I put the legs in the middle of the side rod. Then I have them in the 3 hole down from top of the legs. Where you place this will depend on your couch. It depends on how firm or fluffy your couch is. It is a trial an error till you find your comfort zone.

TIP... With the EZ Stitch Lap stand there is a screw , that screw goes through the Side Bar the Spacer then the Leg. Then a knob is attached and tightened to secure it in to place. That knob needs to be loosened before you flip it over to get to the back of your work. Then once you flip it back use a screwdriver to tighten it back down and secure the frame into place.

Along with all of the components of the EZ Stitch Floor Stand (Legs, Feet, Arms, Elbows and Cross Braces)

As with our Lap Stand our Floor Stand provides a stable platform but for all your LARGER needlework projects. And the scroll frame can rotate a full 360° for quick, easy access to the back of your project.

TIP... The floor Stand has two knobs securing the Scroll Frame to the arms of the Floor Stand. To rotate the Scroll Frame both of those knobs needs to be loosened before you flip it over to get to the back of your work. Then once you flip it back secure each to tighten it back down and secure the frame into place.

Benefits of the EZ Stitch Scroll Frame System

No more dirty wrinkled fabric... Your fabric is now stabilized in the scroll frame and your hands are holding the frame not the fabric. So now that your hands are barley touching the fabric your hand oils will not stain the fabric. You are also not bunching the fabric up around the hoop causing wrinkles.

No Hoop means No Hoop Burn... now that the fabric is wrapped around the Scroll Rods and is clean and protected. Use our Quilted Scroll Rod Covers to keep the fabric scrolled up even more protected.

No need to wash the fabric once you are done... If you are like me, you love to stitch on hand dyed fabric. Hand-dyed Fabric can not wash as it would bleed. By using the EZ Stitch Scroll Frame it is ensuring that my beautiful fabric won't get dirty. I can take it right off the Scroll Frame cut the tape off and take it to the framer.

Two Handed Stitching...

I have found that not only is stitching with both hands much faster, but my stitches look much neater and straight. Now that I am not holding a hoop, both of my hands can be used for stitching. It doesn’t matter what hand you have on top or bottom, just what is comfortable for you. I have my left on top and right underneath.

Now my floss will be going up and down at a much straighter angle so there will be less wear on the floss. Also, my stitches will be neater as it is easy to railroad my stitches. Two handed stitching is much faster than the stick-n-stab method, as there are no wasted movements. When I stitch two handed my arms are barely move all the movement is in my hands. To take any tension out of my shoulders, my left arm is completely resting right on the Scroll Frame and I put a pillow under my right arm so I have no strain on my shoulders. This makes stitching an enjoyable, relaxing process-- as it should be.

What size are the threads on the EZ Stitch rods? I have one that stripped and my husband thinks he can replace the all-thread. Thank you.

Hi Jean

I'm sorry I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking about the webbing scroll rods or the scroll rods with tape?
