This beautiful and versatile needlework stand works for a variety of projects-- whether your passion is cross-stitch, needlepoint, crewel, embroidery, or small piece quilting. The furniture-quality oak frame frame looks attractive while your stitching project is in progress. The pillar legs provide a stable platform for all your projects. Spacers allow the entire scroll frame to rotate a full 360° for quick, easy access to the back of your project. The adjustable side extender bars allows placement of your frame to best suit your seating position and the position of your project for either lap or table use.

Assembly is simple and can be completed within minutes without any tools required. Assembly instructions can be found here.  Instructions on how to attach the fabric to the frame are here. This sturdy frame is fashioned from solid American Red Oak and hand finished with natural stain.

The Tomorrow's Treasures Lap and Tabletop Stand Webbing Version includes:

  • 2 qty Oak side support posts which are 15.5" tall, 2.5" wide at the top and 4.5" wide at the base
  • 2 qty Feet
  • 2 qty 12" Adjustable side bars
  • 2 qty 20" Heavy duty scroll rods, with webbing fabric attached
  • 2 qty Oak spacers
  • 10 qty Oak knobs
  • 2 qty Bolts and washers

This lap stand uses the Webbing system to attach the fabric to the scroll rods. Rods come with webbing fabric already attached to them. Stitch your project fabric to the webbing rods, then assemble and tighten your scroll frame to achieve optimal tension. With a lap/tabletop stand, now you can stitch with both hands, and your stitching will look much neater and straighter. Another benefit is that your hands scarcely touch the fabric now, so fabric will be clean when you are finished with a project.

The Lap and Tabletop Stand is versatile and can be adapted to many configurations:
  • Adjust the height of the stand by inserting the bolt through any of the holes drilled in the leg.
  • Adjust the size of the stitching area by moving the rods closer or further apart on the sidebar. Adjustable to 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12.”
  • The spacers allow access to the back side of your needlework. Be sure to loosen the knobs before turning.
  • Once you are working with your scroll frame and are flipping it from front to back of your work, the bolt may become loose. Keep a screwdriver around to tighten the bolt and keep the scroll frame in the position you like.
  • Rods change the width of your working space and are available in sizes that range from 6” to 48.”

The E-Z Stitch Lap Stand is adjustable. The scroll frame can be attached to the Legs in a variety of positions. If you are stitching on a couch, you may want to position the scroll frame in the top holes, making it closer to yourself. If you are working on a tabletop, you can position it in the lower holes to bring it toward you. Combining different sizes of scroll rods and side bars creates a variety of frame configurations. All of the E-Z Stitch products are interchangeable and compatible with the American Dream Products Tomorrow's Treasures Lap and Tabletop Stand.
